Bitumen Centrifuge Extractor — Motorised (Electrically Operated)

The Motorised Bitumen Centrifuge Extractor works on the same operating principle as the hand-operated version but replaces manual cranking with an electric motor and gear drive for consistent, fatigue-free operation. The bituminous mix sample is dissolved in solvent, and the bitumen is separated from the aggregate by high-speed centrifugal action inside a removable aluminium rotor bowl. Many models feature a built-in speed regulator (dimmerstat) to vary bowl speed from 0 up to 3600 RPM, along with a digital RPM indicator on advanced models, and are preferred for laboratories running frequent or high-volume testing.
