Concrete Testing Equipment
Length Comparator
The Length Comparator is a precision instrument used to measure small changes in the length of test specimens, particularly for drying shrinkage and expansion tests on concrete and mortar bars. A specimen fitted with gauge studs at each end is placed vertically or horizontally in the comparator, and its length is measured against a fixed reference (invar) bar using a sensitive dial gauge or digital indicator, with readings taken at intervals over the curing/drying period to track dimensional change. The equipment consists of Length Comparator Frame,Reference Bar and a Digital Dial/Analogue Dial Gauge 0-25cm x 0.001mm
