Aggregate and Sand Testing Equipment
Riffle Sample Divider
The Riffle Sample Divider is used to divide a bulk sample of aggregate, sand, or similar granular material into two equal, representative half-samples for testing. The device consists of a hopper feeding into a set of alternating chutes that direct material alternately into two collecting pans placed on either side. This ensures each half-sample retains the same particle size distribution as the original bulk sample, which is essential for reliable and repeatable laboratory test results. It is commonly used in aggregate grading, sieve analysis, and other quality control tests where an unbiased, representative sub-sample is required.
