Flexural Strength Testing Machine (Hand/Electrically Operated)
The Flexural Strength Testing Machine is used to determine the flexural strength (modulus of rupture) of concrete beam specimens, which is particularly relevant for pavement quality concrete and other applications where bending strength governs design. A concrete beam specimen is supported on two rollers and loaded either at the centre point or at two-third points using a third and fourth roller, with the electrically operated loading mechanism applying load at a controlled rate until the beam fails.
It consists of two part as follows:
Loading Unit : The loading unit is welded type having a cross head, base. The hydraulic jack is fixed to the base. The load is applied by upward movement of loading jack(hydraulic ram) and between this plate and loading jack the flexure attachment is fixed.
Pumping Unit : The Hydraulic Pumping Unit is Electrically- cum-hand operated. The loads are measured on load gauges which are calibrated on against certified proving rings. The pumping unit is fitted with a speed control knob to adjust the pace rate of loading. The load gauges capacity 100KN duly calibrated by are fitted with micro switches to switch off the motor when the load approaches the maximum capacity.
The machine is supplied complete with flexure testing attachment for testing beam sizes 100 x 100 x 500 and 150 x 150 x 700mm. The electrically pumping unit is also fitted with hand operated pump.
Hand operated Manual Model also Available.
