Concrete Test Hammer (Rebound Hammer)
The Concrete Test Hammer is a portable, non-destructive testing instrument used to estimate the surface hardness — and by correlation, the approximate compressive strength — of in-place, hardened concrete structures. A spring-loaded plunger is pressed against the concrete surface and released, causing a mass to rebound; the rebound distance, read on a graduated scale, is correlated to concrete strength using standard calibration charts.
