Benkelman Beam Apparatus
The Benkelman Beam Apparatus is a field instrument used to measure the elastic (rebound) deflection of a flexible pavement under a standard wheel load, providing an indirect assessment of pavement structural strength and remaining service life. The beam's probe tip is positioned between the dual wheels of a loaded truck, and as the truck moves away, the rebound deflection of the pavement is recorded via a dial gauge mounted on the pivoted beam — a widely used, low-cost method for pavement evaluation and overlay design..Supplied with baker dial gauge0.01 x25 mm
