Cement Tensile Testing Machine
The Cement Tensile Testing Machine is used to determine the tensile strength of cement by testing briquette-shaped mortar specimens to failure under a gradually applied tensile load. The specimen is held in specially shaped grips that match the briquette's figure-of-eight profile, and load is applied — traditionally via a hand-operated lever and weight/shot mechanism, or motorised in modern versions — until the specimen fractures. The recorded breaking load, divided by the specimen's cross-sectional area, gives the tensile strength, a historical but still-referenced quality parameter for cement.
This Cement Tensile Testing Machine is primarily used to determine the tensile strength of briquette specimens a cement. It can also be used to test the flexure strength of the samples This test is commonly used by Cement Manufacturers in order to determine the quality of cement.
