Flow Table for Cement Mortars, Electrically/Hand operated
The Flow Table is used to determine the consistency (flow) of cement mortar or grout by measuring its spread under a standardised jolting action. A conical mould is filled with freshly mixed mortar on the flow table's flat circular top, the mould is removed, and the table is raised and dropped a fixed number of times through a specified height using a cam mechanism. The resulting spread diameter of the mortar pat is measured and expressed as a percentage flow value, which is used to assess workability and to standardise water content for further mortar and cement testing.
