Cement Testing Equipment
Laboratory Cement Autoclave
The Laboratory Cement Autoclave is a pressure vessel used to conduct the autoclave expansion test on cement, which accelerates the hydration of any free lime or magnesia present, allowing soundness-related expansion to be assessed within a short test duration under high-pressure steam conditions. Cement paste bar specimens are placed inside the autoclave chamber, which is then heated to raise both temperature and steam pressure to specified levels over a controlled time period and held for a fixed duration. After cooling, the specimens are measured for length change to determine autoclave expansion, an important indicator of long-term cement soundness.
